keep g(r)o(w)ing

Tom Bilyeu of Impact Theory (thanks Dad, if you’re reading this!) explains a Growth Mindset like this:

"The only belief that matters is that by applying time and energy into something, you will actually get better at it."

If we believe this and choose to cultivate this mindset for ourselves, it stands to reason we can work hard by giving time, energy, and wise thought to the dreams and skills we need for the lives we really want… and then because we can get better at anything, with enough time and energy devoted to it, we can reach growth and success!

Whenever I think the phrase “keep going” to myself, it’s closely followed by “keep growing.” I love that they rhyme, and I love words and letters and language structure. I think in terms of what words look like and how they’re spelled (which is an interesting separate concept all on its own! If you aren’t a word person, I’m guessing you think in images and scenes! I think my husband sees a person’s face when he hears or thinks their name, but I tend to envision what their name looks like spelled out in my head!); so I love the letter similarity with these two: going/growing — just add two letters to the first, and you get the second!

Keep going.

Keep g(r)o(w)ing.

Keep growing.

It would probably surprise you how often I ponder this phrase pairing 😉 not just for its spelling but also its meaning and implications, but anyway, I made some images… Feel free to save them, use them as your wallpaper, send the magic to somebody you love!

When we keep going by showing up, doing our best, staying open and ready, learning and leveling up, putting in time and effort… we grow.

As we keep growing, we can reach new heights and then — you guessed it — keep going.

They come hand-in-hand.

Here’s to flourishing!

Keep going, keep growing. 💚🌱
