Learn to accept, as Oliver Burkeman says, that fear is part of the deal, and experiencing it won’t destroy you.

Fear is part of the deal.

It’s inescapable. We can’t remove it from our lives. It’s going to come along.

Experiencing fear will not destroy you.

We don’t have to let it run the show or make all our decisions for us. We don’t have to run away from it.

We can withstand it and be brave in the face of it. Accept and act.

Fear is part of the deal, and experiencing it won’t destroy you.

(Knowing this, what will you do next? Your move.)

P.S. I can’t figure out who the creator of this ⬇ image is — I’ve seen it posted a few different places — but I really like it. The existence of fear does not have to waylay our actions or experiences. How can we be courageous if we’re never afraid? How can we grow if we never face challenges that push and stretch us?
