multiplicitous
This is your permission slip to fully live into every bit of multiplicity within you.
We contain multitudes.
If you’ve been wondering if it’s okay that parts of you are so different or that the things you love are so seemingly contradictory… of course it’s okay.
You can be the whole damn universe.
We are allowed to love whatever we love.
We can lean in to any parts of ourselves and our stories, at any time.
These are all pieces of our lives, the things that make us whole, and they are ours to experience and enjoy.
It can be a little messy and hard to describe.
You can be multi-passionate.
You do not ever have to fit in a box.
I think I used to be a much more sure, clear, contained, and tidy person who did fit into some definitive explanations and roles, and I don’t know that I do so much anymore. I am not just one thing. My life isn’t made up of one focus or pursuit. Honestly, it feels a little disorienting and murky sometimes.
But I found out my life only got better as it got more expansive, inclusive, and varied.
I think in some ways, it’s harder now. But better too.
There’s more depth and richness.
I am more of a whole person. I am not denying so much of myself or my needs, and I am becoming ever more accepting of and resilient to reality and challenges within reality.
I am learning to hold space for possibility, potential, wonder, belief, and experimentation.
We are allowed to feel all the emotions we feel.
We can be interested in absolutely whatever we love, even it seems like a strange combination from the outside.
You can be strong and gentle.
You can be serious and playful.
You can love dressing up and love lazy outfits.
You can get fancy and get dirty.
You can be feminine and masculine.
Your hobbies can cross whatever bounds.
You can be afraid and take action anyway (this is bravery).
You can be the question and the answer.
Your life can be both magic and mundane; you can love it unabashedly while also facing fear or struggle or coming up short sometimes.
Through it all, the enduring gift is our ability to live wholeheartedly and to be truly who we are.
